smartShift offers a proven, customizable, flexible and economic methodology for legacy-system modernization. The basis for this is our smartTools - a suite of highly-specialized analysis, modernization, restructuring, migration and transformation tools that continually develop and evolve with every new project.
smartTools' parser technology splits up programs, databases, screens, and the task-management system - as well as other relevant information (schedulers, interfaces, peripheral systems and development environments) - into the smallest components and stores them in the smartShift meta-model. Our parsers have been optimized for a variety of different hardware, software and operating-system platforms, and new system environments, languages, access methods or interfaces can be quickly implemented and integrated.
The smartShift meta-model provides a comprehensive analysis of the system data to identify potential modernization measures and a unique procedure enables the meta-model to map all system properties and dependencies to subsystems or peripheral systems. Specially customized generators transfer the modified system components and send them to the desired architecture. The resulting application components are then configured, integrated, optimized and transferred into the final, target application.
