SaaS Analysis Scope

The SaaS Analysis scans your ABAP custom code for various types of syntax violations. The analysis detects UNICODE violations and other types of issues that organizations encounter during upgrade projects. We detect all the object violations in the ABAP custom code, and assign them to the following severity categories: Error, Warning, and Information.

Errors are typical UCCHECK and syntax errors that would occur on the target system.

Warnings are caused by SLINs, obsolete coding, UNICODE suggestions and other SAP recommendations for upgrading and modernizing your custom code.

Information contains all violations that are not Warnings or Errors but should be fixed to future-proof and standardize your custom code (thereby lowering its TCO).

Our advanced toolset includes a set of rules that can be grouped in subsets that target specific areas, such as runtime stabilization, maintainability improvements, coding standards, architecture, performance, and security. The rule sets are integrated, so they can be applied while performing an Upgrade, a Unicode conversion or both. New rules are added frequently, and can be applied at any point in the analysis process.
